Industry expertise meets technological excellence
Behind one.five are Claire Hae-Min Gusko and Martin Weber – a team that not only envisions sustainability but also implements it strategically. Both bring extensive experience in the consumer goods industry and in scaling businesses. Their key insight: while technical solutions for sustainable packaging already exist, many fail due to economic barriers, regulatory requirements, or lack of scalability.
This is precisely where one.five comes in. Using its proprietary AI platform, new materials are systematically analysed, simulated, and optimised. In that, the focus is not solely on sustainability, but also costs, performance, and market readiness – all essential factors in a highly competitive, low-margin industry.
one.five combines this data-driven materials research with deep business expertise. With a strong network of industry partners and investors, the company accelerates the shift towards sustainable packaging solutions that deliver both ecological value and economic success.
The first products: sustainability at scale
one.five currently offers two innovative packaging solutions that set new standards:
bluemorph
Paper-based high-barrier packaging – reliably protects products from oxygen and water vapour, extending shelf life.
clearwing
Heat-sealable transparent paper – thanks to an innovative water-based dispersion coating, the paper gains its sealing functionality already during production, making it ideal for use on existing packing lines. It also dissolves fully within the recycling process for waste paper, allowing raw materials to be efficiently recovered and reused.
Left
bluemorph is a paper-based high–barrier packaging solution that reliably protects products even in tropical conditions.
Right
clearwing is a heat-sealable, transparent paper offering an alternative to conventional protective films, combining maximum visibility with sustainable materials.

Two additional product lines are already being developed and expected to launch in summer and autumn 2025.
In this way, one.five continues to expand its portfolio – bringing it one step closer to its vision: a world where sustainable packaging becomes a natural choice.

Growth with foresight and commercial viability
Within just a few years, one.five has grown from an idea into a company with around 35 employees. Following a successful €12 mn funding round – backed by several investors, including Beyond Equal – the company is now preparing for market entry, precisely at a time when sustainable packaging solutions are needed more urgently than ever. Especially in the food, toys, perfume, and cosmetics sectors, the demand for commercially viable alternatives is steadily increasing.
For our investment, one.five convinced us with its strategic foresight, technological excellence, and consistent market focus. The proprietary AI platform is a true gamechanger: it makes sustainable packaging not only environmentally sensible but also commercially competitive.
Plastic packaging: a global challenge
- 40 % of global plastic waste comes from packaging.
Annually 141 mn tonnes of plastic packaging end up as waste - Without alternatives, plastic waste could triple by 2060.
- one.five is developing packaging solutions to change that.
